In the mountains, the impacts of human activities are visible everywhere. Scientists have been documenting them for years, but this knowledge often remains distant from the general public and struggles to translate into concrete action.

It is to address this challenge that Summit Foundation created Summit Science, a hub dedicated to research and science popularization.

Through Summit Science, we seek to develop projects at the interface between Alpine environment research, awareness-raising, and field action, in order to produce increasingly up-to-date, understandable, and actionable knowledge for the general public.

Projects Summit Science are structured around several complementary axes:

• Scientific Collaborations
  Summit Science supports and develops scientific projects dedicated to the preservation of the Alps, in collaboration with students and researchers from universities, higher education institutions, and polytechnic schools.
• Participatory Science
  Summit Science develops participatory science projects in collaboration with researchers. Volunteers can get involved in data collection, sampling, and actively participate in scientific projects. These mechanisms concretely link awareness-raising and knowledge production.
• Knowledge Dissemination
  Summit Science works to popularize and disseminate scientific results through various formats: awareness campaigns, educational content, field interventions, and conferences. The goal is to make knowledge accessible and useful to the widest possible audience, drawing on over 25 years of experience in communication.
